Fort Worth, TX – Texans for Excellence in Education (TEE) is pleased to announce the addition of Lonnie Morgan to its Board of Directors. Lonnie brings nearly three decades of experience in educational technology (EdTech) and a passion for training up the next generation of Texans.

After graduating from Dallas Baptist University with a BA in Business Administration, Lonnie began his career in DFW as a Director of Educational Marketing for ACE School of Tomorrow, a program that helps homeschools and schools reach their full potential. During his tenure with ACE, he obtained an MBA in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from LaSalle Extension University in Chicago.

Lonnie has since continued on to hold leadership positions in multiple organizations. His extensive resume includes roles such as Executive VP of Sales and Business Development, Assistant Director of School Operations, and VP of Virtual Learning & Innovation.

He is currently the Executive VP of Operations at BrightThinker, a company that specializes in virtual and remote learning across multiple educational demographics, including grades K-12, adults, Special Education, GED preparation, and even Citizenship preparation.

In his previous VP role at Responsive Education Solutions, he oversaw all educational operations for the organization’s virtual charter schools. Statewide, this comprised over 7,500 students from 3rd to 12th grade.

“We are so excited to have Lonnie join the board,” said John Petree, President of Texans for Excellence in Education. “His expansive knowledge of educational technology paired with his background in business development and administration will be a wonderful resource for us as we continue working to enhance the quality of education in Texas alongside our member school boards.”
